Pistons and Accessories
PISTON 1008 SL
Designed and used for indirect roped lift applications, the piston 1008 SL can be used for travelling heights up to 18 meters.
New processing technologies developed pistons with a reduced diameter of the cylinder, which requires a lower quantity of fluid, and decreases the elevator elasticity.
A particular cylinder joint equipped with collar allows reducing considerably the installation time of the piston.
In order to facilitate transport and insertion into the shaft, the piston can be supplied in 2 -3 pieces, with threaded joints included.
The piston 1008 SL is suitable for high traffic installations or large-size cars, which require opposed twin pistons.
THE PISTON 1000 SL
The piston 1000 SL is a central acting piston for direct lift applications. It is particularly recommended for heavy loads (goods elevators) or in case aesthetic standards require a linear design (for example avoiding ropes in panoramic lifts).
New processing technologies developed pistons with a reduced diameter of the cylinder, which requires a lower quantity of fluid, and decreases the elevator elasticity.
A particular cylinder joint equipped with collar allows reducing considerably the installation time of the piston.
This piston is suitable for systems with low load capacity, in order to fully benefit of the shaft space for the car.
To facilitate transport and insertion into the shaft, the piston can be supplied in 2 – 3 pieces, with threaded joints included.
The piston is equipped with an upper swivel plate for the connection to the car frame and with a basement support plate.
The in-ground part of the plunger is protected with a corrosion preventive coating. A PVC tape as well is supplied for protection from galvanic corrosion.
PISTON 1001 SL
The piston 1001 SL for side acting direct lift applications is particularly used in 2-3-story buildings.
The new processing technologies developed pistons with a reduced diameter of the cylinder, which requires a lower quantity of fluid, and decreases the elevator elasticity.
A particular cylinder joint equipped with collar allows reducing considerably the installation time of the piston.
To facilitate transport and insertion into the shaft, the piston can be supplied in 2 pieces, with threaded joints included.
The piston is equipped with an upper swivel plate for the connection to the car frame and with a basement support plate for the location in the pit.
On request, the basement support may be fixed in an intermediate position on the cylinder, in order to allow a partial in-ground location of the 1001 SL piston, or alternatively, the piston can be supplied without basement support.
The piston 1001 SL is suitable for high traffic installations or large-size cars, which require opposed twin pistons.
TELESCOPIC PISTON EC
The telescopic piston EC fits into many lift applications, especially into passenger lifts.
The installation of a Piston EC is combined with a L-shaped car frame, but this solution is normally used for installations with 2, 4 or more pistons, in high load capacity or large-scale lifts.
The telescopic piston EC is available in versions with 2, 3 or 4 stages. The synchronized movement of the piston is guaranteed by a chain system which connects the different stages.
The piston EC is designed for soft stop applications, in compliance with the decelerations rate required by the standards EN 81.20. The EC-2N solution is equipped with an internal guide. The EC-2Y, 3Y and 4Y solutions are equipped with an external guide (included).
TELESCOPIC PISTON TCS
The telescopic piston TCS is normally used in small-sized lifts where the shaft size is very reduced: it is possible to fit all the pieces, the piston, the chain and the fixtures, within a space of 170 mm between the shaft and the car.
For these reasons and also due to the mechanical synchronization, the piston TCS is suitable for any type of passenger lift with 3 – 4 stops, even though it is normally used for goods lifts, bed lifts and home lifts. The telescopic piston TCS is available in versions with 2 and 3 stages, synchronized by means of a chain system connecting the different stages.
TThe TCS-2N solution is equipped with an internal guide. The TCS-2Y and 3Y solutions require external guides (T-rail 50x50x5) which are supplied as an optional.
The piston can be supplied with either the traditional rupture valve or with the excess flow limiting device paired with the Pawl Device. The latter option can be convenient for systems with 2 or more pistons.
TELESCOPIC PISTON 9100-9101
The telescopic piston is a side acting piston for direct lift applications and allows reducing considerably the vertical space of the shaft. Major travelling heights are possible without excavation works for the location of the plunger.
This piston, in the 2- or 3-stage versions, is a valid alternative to the traditional lift system (2:1 lift application).
The piston may be supplied with 1 – 2 fixing plates to be mounted on the guide support; this is to obtain major travelling heights at equal load.
The piston is equipped with an upper swivel plate for the connection to the car frame.
TELESCOPIC PISTON 9110-9111
This telescopic piston is a central acting piston for direct lift application. It allows reducing considerably the size of the bore hole and represents a valid alternative to the single-stage pistons, where the bore hole cannot be excessively deep. Compared to direct single-stage pistons, the bore hole can be reduced to half the size (for 2-stages piston) or to a third (for 3-stages piston).
The piston may be supplied with 1 – 2 fixing plates to be mounted on the guide support; this is to obtain major travelling heights at equal load.
The piston is equipped with an upper swivel plate for the connection to the car frame and with a basement support plate.
The in-ground part of the plunger is protected with a corrosion preventive coating. A PVC tape as well is supplied for protection from galvanic corrosion.
RUPTURE VALVE TYPE B – TYPE G – TYPE R; OVERFLOW VALVES TYPE G – TYPE R IN COMPLIANCE WITH THE STANDARD 2014/33/UE
The rupture valves type 3006 interrupt the downward travel of the plunger in case of an over speed situation of the car.
The valves are activated when a pressure variation between the point of entry and the point of exit of the oil in the valve itself occurs. This is why no electrical device is needed.
The rupture valve type B is commonly used on systems with a single piston.
The rupture valve type G is used in systems with a twin piston, it is inserted equidistantly between the two pistons. The tubing piece between the valve and the two pistons has to comply with the safety criteria required by standard EN 81.20.
The over flow valve type D is designed to avoid over speed situations of the car during the down travel in case of a drastic leak in the hydraulic system. The speed of the car with a load equal to the nominal rated load, should not exceed 0,3 m/s in the down travel. The over flow valve type R is used in parallel with the Pawl Device.
